we take pride in going the extra mile here at nuun - and thanks to nuun, so can you.

so what do we know about hydration? well, as a small startup comprised of competitive cyclists, skiers, rock climbers, runners and triathletes, we know plenty. you won’t find a bunch of lab coat wearing scientists running around with test tubes in hand here at nuunville. nor are we a bunch of trendy design people lounging around reading vogue. 

we are a bunch of athletes working to make nuun not only for you but also for ourselves. and we’re always trying to make our great product better.

HISTORY

nuun, prounounced ‘noon’, was originally the brainchild of a student and professor from the tuck school, dartmouth (an ivy league school* in new england, america.)

new england is great for fall cycling, but you can only rely on powders and diluted sports drinks to get you through so many rides before you shout, “enough!” our founders longed for a lightweight, easy to use solution that had a light, crisp taste. frustrated and dissatisfied by the pre-made and powder options currently available on the market, they set out to develop their own solution. one that was easy to use, tasted good and unlike traditional sports drinks, was sugar free. the solution came in the form of a simple to use dissolvable tab that would come to be known as nuun!

fast forward a few years, past the endless sample versions (including those first ones that dissolved slower than granite), and you’ll find nuun pioneering portable electrolyte hydration for athletes and all kinds of folks with active lifestyles. whether you’re running, cycling, hiking, adventure racing, kayaking, golfing, or traveling, all you have to do is drop a nuun tab into your water bottle, give it a minute or so to dissolve, and you’ve got a perfectly mixed drink for optimal hydration.
